A abordagem Uma Só Saúde como estratégia para promover o acesso equitativo aos alimentos

Nas últimas décadas, a perspectiva de Uma Só Saúde emergiu como uma estrutura transdisciplinar adequada para gerar conhecimento e tomar decisões com o objetivo de promover a saúde global em seu sentido mais amplo. A população mundial cresce a uma taxa anual de 1,1 %, com a maior parte concentrada em países em desenvolvimento. Estimativas mostram que alimentar a população mundial projetada para 2050 exigirá um aumento de 70 % na produção de alimentos em comparação com os níveis do início do século XXI. Atualmente, cerca de 800 milhões de pessoas sofrem de subnutrição, enquanto aproximadamente metade da população mundial, principalmente em países pobres, não tem acesso a um ou mais nutrientes essenciais. A resposta a essa necessidade deve ser abordada em um contexto desafiador de mudanças globais, em um ambiente cada vez mais impactado pela intensificação dos sistemas de produção, entre outros fatores. Embora a abordagem de Uma Só Saúde seja considerada uma estrutura natural para abordar questões como a resistência antimicrobiana ou o manejo de zoonoses emergentes, ela também pode fornecer uma estrutura útil para gerar conhecimento e tomar decisões com o objetivo de atender às necessidades alimentares da população mundial. A presente revisão narrativa busca fundamentar, de forma original, a necessidade de valorizar as dimensões analíticas e políticas da Uma Só Saúde para promover o acesso equitativo dos habitantes do planeta a alimentos suficientes e saudáveis, uma necessidade humana básica que molda a saúde das pessoas ao longo de suas vidas em todo o mundo.
