Abstract

Two cows of the Polled Hereford breed were superovulated. The embryos collected were transfered by a non surgical way to 15 cross- bred recipients. Two of them received one embryo in each uterine horn. Seven calves from 17 embryos transfered were obtained; two of them from one recipient which was implanted with 2 embryos.
The parturition rate of 42% was considered satisfactory. However some factors for improving the technique were submitted to a discussion.
