Resistance status of Boophilus microplus in Uruguay Measures to control it
Paper presented at the VI National Veterinary Congress
Keywords:
Tick control, Boophilus microplus, UruguayAbstract
In the late 1930s and early 1940s, Uruguay considered a health campaign against Boophilus microplus by regulating it by law. One of the problems that this campaign had to face was the appearance of resistance of B. Microplis to the chemical nuclei used in its control. This happens preferably in areas where the use of acaricides is more systematic.
