Abstract

Two dairy bovine breeds, Uruguayan Holstein (HU) and Uruguayan Normando (NU) were to emboss to Kappa-casein gene with the PCR technique. The alelic and genotipic frequences were analized over 115 animals DNA of both sexes and different ages. The HU alelic frequence was A= 0.817, B=0.183 and the NU was A=0.176 and B=0.824. The incidence of gene pool of dairy bovines for the Uruguayan breeding programs are discussed.
