Feasibility of heliciculture business in Uruguay

Abstract

The heliciculture has been generated a high level of interest and enthusiasm in our country. In this paper the activity is shortly described and its viability and sustainable utilization in Uruguay analized. The conclusions are that the snail farming can be an alternative enterprise for small landholders or a large comercial business.
