Abstract

A retrospective study on the behavior of 64 acaricides registered in Uruguay for the control of Boophilus microplus was carried out under stall conditions. These results grouped according to the active ingredient and administration route, allows the establishment of tendencies regarding efficacy, residual period, and epidemiological risk when moving cattle without viable ticks. This is so, when no operative mistakes occur and there is no parasite resistance.
