Abstract

A total of 6692 milk samples were examined for subclinical mastitis (SM). Sample were taken from individual quarters of 1672 cows either hand milked (50.7 cow from 22 frams) or machine milked (1166 cows from 43 farms).

It is suggested that these differences within and between groups reflect the miling and /or management techniques used.
