Abstract

The authors, after treating cows affected of chronic metritis with associations of antibiotics, sulfonamide antibiotics and prostaglandine F2 alfa, recommend the topical application of association of antibiotics because of the greatest amount of animals recovered.

The association of antibiotics, sulfonamides and PGF2 alfa, showed to be superior because the mean number of services decended, even thoegh the percentage of pregnancy did not improve.

Intrauterine administration of low dosis of associations of sulfonamides and antibiotics 12-24 hrs. after artifitial insemination of cows slightly affected of metritis, showed that better pregnancy percentages can be obtained.
