Epidemiological studies performed in a Foot and Mouth Disease outbreak confirmed that eight months post-infection, animal carriers were responsible for the new outbreak. The virus substrain had not been identified before in this region.
It is remarked the fact that infection ocureed by the association of conditioning factors which broke the equilibrium host/agent, as well as transmisibility.
