Accidence and toxicity of the drugs used against Babesia bovis and Babesia bigamina

Abstract

Considering that bovine babesiosis is, among the diseases that limit livestock development in Latin America and the Caribbean, one of the most widespread and important, this document has been prepared containing the international information collected, as well as regional observations and experiences of the authors regarding the use of the most commonly used drugs in their treatment. It also tries to provide a general frame of reference for the treatment against Babesia spp. be carried out taking into account local epidemiological information.
