Abstract

Toxic plants of importance to livestock are defined as those that spontaneously ingested by domestic animals, under natural conditions, cause damage to their health, including death. Among the toxic plants of Uruguay and South of Brazil, only those plants that can be considered within that definition are included, that is, those that have caused disease outbreaks and whose toxicity has been experimentally demonstrated, producing a symptomatology similar to that observed. in spontaneous cases.
