Obtaining the first goat by embryo transfer in Uruguay

Abstract

During fall 1993 at the farm "Rincón de la Colorada" situated in Montevideo, dedicated to caprine milk production, an embryo transfer was performed resulting in a female kid born. The present result opens a new way to the development improvement of the uruguayan caprine reproduction necessary to improvement of the uruguayan caprine herd.
