Abstract

Since ticks have become an economic problem for livestock farming, chemical control is the main tool used to control them. The increase in the number of tick strains resistant to pyrethroid and amitraz in the State of Rio Grande do Sul, stimulates attempts to prolong the life of these active principles in this region, a task that centralizes the concern of the sectors involved in the problem.
