Abstract

Samples of water were colected from 31 dairy farms to know mycobacterias contamination. The samples were from drains, drinkables, cutwaters, dells, outlet of milk-pails. 7 strain of mycobacterias were isolated: two were Mycobacterium bovis, three were M. vaccae and two more not cromogenics (M. gastri and terrae-triviale complex). These isolations show the presence of M. bovis in the water of one dairy farm. A bigger sample must be taken to know the dispersion of the water contamination by M. bovis in dairy farms.
