Abstract

This report presents keys for the identification of adults and nymphs of the seven species of Amblyomma that are considered residents in Uruguay: Amblyomma aureolatum (Pallas, 1772), Amblyomma auricularium (Conil, 1878), Amblyomma dubitatum Neumann, 1899, Amblyomma longirostre (Koch, 1844), Amblyomma pseudoconcolor Aragão, 1908, Amblyomma tigrinum Koch, 1844 and Amblyomma triste Koch, 1844. Also, and atualization on distribution, host and veterinary- medical importance of each of the species was made.
