Abstract

The action of veterinarians in the fields in advising on the construction of milking machine parlors, milking machine installations and the diagnosis of their mechanical faults without using special equipment is described.

The regulacions relating to milking machines and associated installations are specified and their most common faults, posibles causes, the diagnostic tests and corrective action are described.

Some further recommentdations relating to these procedures and criteria are advanced.
