About the Journal

Veterinaria (Montevideo) is a journal owned by Sociedad de Medicina Veterinaria del Uruguay (SMVU) and, as of 2014, it is the "Official organ of scientific dissemination of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine". It is a peer-reviewed publication, which aims to publish original and unpublished articles on topics related to the Veterinary Sciences in its broadest sense, including animal health and welfare, animal production, food of animal origin, and other sciences related to Veterinary Medicine. 

It is a continuous, biannual publication of diamond open access, for this reason it allows the downloading of articles free of charge. APC (manual processing and publication) is free.

Partial or total reproduction of what is published is authorized, mentioning the source.

The contents and opinions included in the articles are the sole responsibility of the authors.
